Founded by Commander Domenico Fracchiolla in 1864, the Banca Principe di Napoli was the first banking and mutual aid institution to be established in Canosa in the last twenty years of the nineteenth century. Rich landowners, noble families and the emerging upper middle class turned to this Institute to expand their properties and provide assistance to their workers. An example of banking modernity, which issued credit or debt securities of extraordinary artistic value. After the bankruptcy of the Fracchiolla family, the Bank was purchased by the Banco di Napoli, becoming an integral part of it. The exhibition displays credit titles, stamps and ancient documents of this Institution.
